Swainson’s thrushes are common during breeding season in the Willamette Valley, OR, but their lovely song is heard more often than these shy birds are seen. This thrush briefly stopped by our bird feeder in May 2011, and paused long enough for me to snap a photo. Shot using a Nikon D300 camera with a Nikkor 300 mm lens from the back porch of our home and cropped using Photoshop.
