I had to train my backyard Bluebirds to come to a mealworm feeder. No matter what I did I could not get them to come in to the feeder. then I had a brilliant idea and placed some mealworms on the ground and on the concrete block. Immediately after placing some worms on the ground and block the bluebird came right in. They scarfed them up and went right to the nest box. A couple of days after I placed some on the ground and in the feeder. The male went to the ground, the female came to the feeder. After a while both adults started coming to the feeders.
