Description
Henderson Hummingbird Hurrah is the only hummingbird festival held in the Midwest. It’s a “good-bye” celebration for Ruby-throated Hummingbirds (held each August) as they get ready for their southerly migration. Workshops, garden tours, presentations, children’s activities, hummingbird mall, keynote speaker, and hummingbird banding are all part of the two-day event, August 18 and 19, 2012. Festivities cover the entire town of Henderson as horse-drawn wagons carry visitors from garden locations to festival venues. Designed with families in mind, Henderson Hummingbird Hurrah is a must attend.
