The Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival is an annual event, occurring every third weekend of November that celebrates the Bald Eagle. Originating in 1995, it opens what is commonly called, “The Season of the Eagles.” Fraser Valley boasts the largest population of Bald Eagles gathering in response to the millions of salmon swimming upstream to spawn. From Mission to Harrison Hot Springs, this expansive festival features a number of venues hosting a variety of activities, such as jet boat eco-river tours, eagle watching, displays by local artists, and enviornmental presentations from interpreters and naturalists.
