Bird City Wisconsin Summit

March 21 - March 22

Annual Meeting of the Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative

Birds are valuable indicators of the health of our environment, both locally and globally, and add much to a community’s quality of life. Bird City Wisconsin helps communities take action to protect birds and their habitats and offers public recognition for their efforts.  Whether your area is already one of 76 Bird City communities or would like to become one, join us to learn how to:  1) enhance the environment for birds, 2) educate the public about the interactions between birds and people, and 3) Celebrate Birds!

Who Should Attend?

  • Those who wish to strengthen their Bird City conservation efforts
  • Those who want to help their community become a Bird City
  • Foresters, park directors, sustainability leaders and other conservation-minded officials
  • Wisconsin Society for Ornithology, Audubon, Wild Ones, bird, nature and garden club members
  • All partners in the Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative
  • Flying WILD Facilitators and Educators (training for FW  educators will be held March 20)
  • Anyone else interested in bird education and conservation
