Find a birdathon near youSupport your local conservation group by participating in a birdathon
Published: February 16, 2007 Collect cash when you bird this spring When you're watching warblers, thrushes, and other migrant birds this spring, you can do more than check them off a list. You can collect pledges for every species you see from your friends and family by participating in a birdathon. During a birdathon, birders choose a day, typically in spring, to count as many species as possible and raise money in support of bird conservation. Ask your local bird club or nature center if it holds a birdathon, or check out this list for a birdathon near you.
Note: Many of the websites linked below have not yet been updated with dates and sign-up forms for 2007 birdathons. If that's the case for the one in your area, check back soon.
