Sandhill Crane

A Sandhill Crane calls at sunset on April 25, 2012, in Indian Lake Estates, Florida. Gallery contributor
Daniel Cadieux took the photo and posted it to our
U.S. and Canada Gallery.
"That evening I photographed my first ever Sandhill Cranes, so I was happy to get something artistic out of my outing," he says. "I got lucky here as although I had planned to photograph the crane in front of the sunset colors, it only called because a couple more individuals flew and called directly over its head. Serendipity!"
Dan used a Canon EOS 7D and a 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens.
