November 7, 2005 Fernando Cerra saw this Buff-bellied Hummingbird at the Sabal Palm Audubon Center in Brownsville, Texas. Cerra used a Canon 10D digital SLR, a Sigma 400mm lens, a 1.4x teleconverter, and fill flash. Buff-bellied Hummingbirds (Amazilia yucatanensis) are common to Mexico and the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
