Tricolored Heron

This frightful-looking Tricolored Heron was seen at a northeast Florida rookery.
The chick
(Egretta tricolor) wasn't trying to scare anyone. It was waiting to be fed. Joe Vogan used a Canon EOS camera, Fuji Velvia film and a 500mm f/4 lens to take the picture.
