July 25, 2005 Cindy Marple saw this female Gila Woodpecker on a saguaro blossom in Gilbert, Arizona. Marple used a Canon 20D digital SLR with a 500mm f/4 lens and a 1.4x extender to photograph the bird (Melanerpes uropygialis).
