A Trumpeter Swan erupts into flight across Wintergreen Lake, located in the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary in southern Michigan. Joshua Clark shot the photo on November 3, 2012, and posted it to our
U.S. and Canada Gallery.
"These birds are always fun to photograph taking flight because they require a lot of space to run across the water," Josh says. He used a Canon 1D Mark IV and a 500mm f/4 lens.
