Subscriber Daniel Haney of St. Petersburg, Florida, took this photo of a Reddish Egret
(Egretta rufescens) at Fort De Soto Park, a prime birding spot located at the entrance to Tampa Bay.
"I frequently check out the long beaches at Fort De Soto," Dan says. "This Reddish Egret landed near me. They’re often good subjects because they can be very acrobatic when fishing. As I focused on this bird, it suddenly decided to shake."
He used a Canon 40D with a 100-400mm lens, hand-held.
