A Cattle Egret stands atop a bull in this photo by subscriber Alexander Viduetsky of Valley Village, California. He was visiting Puerto Rico in early July 2011 and shot the photo in the rain near Río Grande in the northeastern part of the island.
Cattle Egrets
(Bubulcus ibis) are common in Puerto Rico, especially on farmlands, Alexander tells us. He used a Canon 7D and a 100-400mm lens and posted the photo to our
