A Limpkin flies above the Hillsborough River in Tampa, Florida, carrying a snail in its bill.

Tampa resident Liz Malyszek captured the scene with her Nikon D300 camera at Lettuce Lake Park.

She watched the "gorgeous" wading bird (Aramus guarauna) searching for food in the river. "He grabbed this snail and then flew to a good spot to have his hard-earned meal," she tells us.
