Debbie Hoch of Corpus Christi, Texas, captured this photo of three Harris's Hawk nestlings at two weeks of age. Their next meal, a dead squirrel, lies in the background.
Debbie watched over several weeks as two adult hawks
(Parabuteo unicinctus) built the nest and then raised a family. She used a Canon EOS Rebel 2000 camera, a 75-300 mm zoom lens, and Kodak 800 film.
